Aquagard Training Academy

Aquagard Training Academy offers unique training courses to fulfil the dire need in the construction industry for proper tuition in waterproofing, tiled roof repairs and damp-proofing. These training courses are relevant to situations which are encountered on sites every day by applicators. 

 

The most popular courses attended are Waterproofing Level 1, Tiled Roof Repairs and Rising Damp Treatment. After completion of this training, a candidate is immediately equipped with the skills and knowledge to undertake the work at a basic level. 

 

Aquagard Training Academy is owned and operated by the Napier family who are eminently qualified to offer this training, having been involved in waterproofing manufacturing and contracting since the early 1970’s. The fourth-generation members currently are involved with training, contracting and waterproofing supplies.

Summary of Course Content

General Information

General Information Required For Training Day

Bookings are made on a first come first serve system based on payment being received. So if you are serious about learning new skills in rising damp treatment, then prompt payment is essential in order to reserve your seat.
Venue will be at: 3 Boat Turn Road, Laser Park, Honeydew.
Courses are undertaken on Saturdays so as not to interfere with the work week.
Training starts at 8h00 sharp and we will not be able to wait for later comers.
Tiled roof and rising damp courses will end at approximately 12h00, the waterproofing course at 16h00.
Attendees are advised to bring PPE. This should include overalls, boots and leather gloves.
Please send full names and ID numbers so that certificates of attendance can be issued on completion of the training.

Manuals will be issued to each participant.
Each trainee will be required to participate in a skills assessment at the end of the day. This is to assess what understanding has been acquired by each learner.
Catering will be provided. This will consist of coffee and rusks at a 15-minute tea break. Water and cool drinks will also be available. We are not able to cater for special dietary requirements and in this instance, attendee should bring their own packed refreshments.
On waterproofing courses, a light lunch will also be provided usually consisting of boerewors rolls.
Class sizes are limited to 15 persons in order to ensure full participation and attention to all attendees.
Courses are held in English language.
