Straw Fibre Blankets

The Straw fibre blanket (SFB) is a Type 1D erosion control blanket made from agricultural wheat straw, placed between two lightweight, photodegradable polypropylene nets. The blanket is sewn together with biodegradable yarn on 50mm centers. It has a functional longevity of 6-12 months, depending on climate and soil conditions. The blankets are tightly rolled into 2.45m by 51.4m rolls and wrapped for transport.
